Brian has spent nearly his entire professional career focused on strategic technology consulting. After graduating from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Brian began his career in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice. He then pursued a career in consulting at Brite Voice Systems, where he advised and audited telecommunications records for major companies and organizations throughout North America. Mr. Hudson went on to earn his MBA at USC’s Marshall School of Business and was recruited by The Warner Group, a management consulting firm focused on providing communications, information technology and organizational effectiveness advisory services to state and local government agencies.
Recognizing the unique set of technical, operational, financial and cultural issues facing these clients, Brian sought to help build a firm that would be dedicated to applying best practice management consulting skills to the public safety community. Over the past 25 years, he has helped build a company where dedicated consultants pursue their shared mission of providing the highest level of service and expertise to assist public safety clients in cost effectively utilizing technology to protect their personnel and communities.
Brian and his colleagues at DELTAWRX have honed this mission to create a culture that always puts clients first. Since 2000, Brian has personally overseen over 70 public safety system assessment and replacement engagements, resulting in tailored technology solutions that address operational challenges and improve service delivery. He has overseen public safety technology assessments for major population centers such as the City and County of San Francisco, California, City of Boston, Massachusetts and DuPage County, Illinois. His expertise in vendor evaluation and contract negotiation has helped ensure that his clients secure the best-fit solutions while minimizing financial risks and realizing short-term and long-term cost savings. Brian excels in facilitating stakeholder engagement workshops, designing governance structures for multi-agency collaborations, and managing risks during large-scale public safety technology implementations.
As a co-founder and Partner at DELTAWRX, Brian provides strategic oversight and leadership on all projects, ensuring clients benefit from innovative solutions, rigorous quality control, and personalized service tailored to their unique operational needs. Brian brings a holistic view to all of the clients he serves and understands how to effectively work and communicate with senior administration, command staff and elected officials as well as frontline level first responders and support personnel.
