Public Safety Consulting Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic

As public safety consultants, DELTAWRX has a longstanding appreciation for the courage, professionalism and care that is routinely exhibited by our nation's first responders. We feel this now more than ever, as we collectively navigate the uncharted waters of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, we wish to express our gratitude to the health care professionals, essential business employees, the scientific community and countless other industries and individuals on the front lines of combating this coronavirus for the greater good.

We frequently advise our clients on a number of issues that have taken on increased significance in the current environment. For example, how can technology be leveraged to support increased employee mobility, including working from remote locations? What are the cybersecurity implications for our changing and expanding technology access points? How can leadership and change management support an organization through a challenging period?

One of DELTAWRX’s core values is flexibility. Under normal circumstances, this can mean interviewing a night shift of telecommunicators, postponing a presentation due to a local public safety event or updating a presentation on the fly after new information comes to light. These days, we are supporting our clients by facilitating remote meetings, reconsidering critical path issues on project implementation plans and updating risk mitigation strategies. All of our consultants are working remotely and we are working with our building management on sanitation efforts. An additional DELTAWRX core value is a positive attitude. With that in mind, we will continue to work with our clients to provide them with the lifesaving tools and strategies they use to protect their stakeholders and we look forward to the days when we can look back on the COVID-19 pandemic in search for lessons learned.
