DELTAWRX Awarded Communications Contract in Essex County, Massachusetts

DELTAWRX is pleased to announce our recently awarded contract with the Northeast Region Homeland Security Advisory Council (NERAC) and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), on behalf of the fire departments in Essex County, Massachusetts. We will assess and document the current status of fire service communications in Essex County, define the communications service levels that are necessary based on operational needs and identify steps that can be taken to improve communications capabilities to meet those needs.

Our needs assessment will include an analysis of the existing communications infrastructure and end user capabilities as well as operational procedures and requirements. We will then develop an improvement plan outlining recommendations to achieve optimal communications in Essex County. Our needs assessment and final recommendations will be the result of a participatory data collection, validation and presentation process and will cover available communication resources, radio infrastructure, radio equipment, system configuration, backhaul, system coverage, capacity, reliability, functionality and methods of interoperability.

DELTAWRX has extensive experience providing consulting services to fire, medical aid and law enforcement agencies. We frequently assist our clients with information technology, radio system and organizational development projects. We have a successful track record working in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, having completed engagements for the Massachusetts State Police and the City of Boston. We look forward to this upcoming engagement with Essex County.
