DELTAWRX Awarded Cost Allocation Planning Contract for South Sound 911, Washington

DELTAWRX is pleased to announce our recently awarded contract with South Sound 911, a consolidated emergency communications center located in Pierce County, Washington. We will be working with South Sound 911 to benchmark how multi-agency dispatch centers across the region allocate costs among dispatched agencies. Our statement of work entails identifying various cost allocation models and projecting the distribution to individual agencies based on a range of metrics such as call volume, dispatched events, dispatch positions, dispatched discipline, agency size, population and revenue base. We will facilitate a strategic workshop with decisions makers to build consensus around the desired approach and ultimately develop recommendations for implementing an equitable cost allocation strategy for South Sound 911’s subscriber agencies.

Our engagement comes on the heels of a successful strategic planning study DELTAWRX conducted for South Sound 911 and its multiple public safety partners within Pierce County, where we examined radio system usage, dispatch operations and 911 funding and governance. We are thrilled to be partnering with South Sound 911 again on such a meaningful assignment.
