MSP CAD/RMS

The Massachusetts State Police (MSP) is the oldest statewide law enforcement agency in the nation, with a nearly 150-year history of protecting the growing population of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  The 2,200 sworn officers and nearly 500 civilian staff comprising the five divisions, 7 troops, 8 dispatch centers and 40 barracks of MSP provide a wide range of services.

DELTAWRX was engaged by MSP to assess the current CAD/RMS system and assist with decisions involved in purchasing new systems.  During this engagement, DELTAWRX conducted a business needs assessment, preformed a gap analysis, developed current business process maps, established functional requirements for a future CAD/RMS for MSP and presented a “Build versus Buy” recommendation for the new software CAD/RMS solution.

DELTAWRX was further retained by MSP to develop a dispatch modernization plan for the Department.  The plan involved identifying the technology, operational, staffing, governance and facility requirements needed to support the Colonel's vision of centralizing dispatch operations at the Troop level throughout the Commonwealth.  This represents a significant change from the status quo of call-taking and dispatching occurring at more than 40 different geographic locations.
